Meet Teasy lights: The new way to get light results with a rooty balayage feel.

What are Teasy lights? Teasy lights are a hybrid of a painted balayage technique with a teased root area, inside of a foil. Riley, one of our colorists at Image Solutions Salon in East Syracuse NY says Teasy lights are her “favorite technique to use to create the perfect rooted blonde.  It is perfect for clients that have a darker base and are looking for bright blonde ends”.

She states that our guests love it because “It is a Low maintenance color, most guests feel they are ready for a salon lightening visit in 6 months. It can vary depending on the contrast between your root and how light your ends are.

pH bonder, protein based products, and Redken Color Extend Blondage are recommended for at home maintennce.”

pH Bonder for strengthening, fighting frizz and damage, and color longevity

Redken extreme protein line for hair that is damaged, breaks easily, or over highlighted.

Teasy lights are great for anyone looking for low maintenance highlights that grow out effortlessly.  The only maintenance needed in between lightening visits is a 20 minute glaze, which extends the life of your highlights and hydrates the hair fiber. For hair that tends to be dry or go brassy a $30 glaze is recommended every 6 weeks. In between maintenance visits try Redken Color Extend Blondage purple toning shampoo to help with yellow tones that come through after the glaze fades. This will not last as long as a glaze, but will help until you get back into the salon.
